Scheduling & Payment Options
We scheduleone patient per appointment (and we don’t overbook) because you deserve exclusive, personalized time with Dr. Stauffer and our staff. We strive to run on time so you won’t be kept waiting, and we ask you to arrive for your appointments on time as well. We understand you are busy, and your time is valuable to us. Dr. Stauffer prides himself on keeping to his schedule and only deviates from it in the event of dental emergencies.
Once we have decided on a treatment plan and have worked out financial arrangements, we will do everything we can to proceed with your treatment on a schedule that works for you, whether that be soon or at a slower pace. We want to accommodate your needs.
Please call at least two business days in advance for changed appointments. Missed appointments without this notification, or repeated cancellations, will incur cancellation fees. We want to work with you to schedule convenient appointments for your visits to our office.
Our goal is to help remove financial barriers so our patients can receive the dental treatment they need and desire. Prior to scheduling any treatment, we are happy to provide patients with an estimate of costs. Many patients have some type of dental insurance. In the majority of cases, we are able and happy to assist you in maximizing your benefits. At your first visit, we will ask you for current insurance information. We may ask you to confirm this information at subsequent visits, so we can remain up-to-date and fully informed to serve you. Insured patients will receive cost estimates broken down by insured and uninsured costs. We ask that you pay uninsured costs the day services are rendered.
We accept most dental insurance. For patients covered by insurance, we will accept assignment of benefits. This means that you must sign the portion of your insurance that “assigns” payment to our office. Most dentalinsurance plans do not cover 100% of the cost of your treatment. It is because of this, and the extreme delay in receiving payment from insurance companies, that you are asked to pay your deductible and your portion of charges at the time services are rendered. All estimates are based on information provided to us by your insurance and are not a guarantee of payment. Only after a claim is submitted and reviewed by your insurance company can final payment be determined. As a courtesy to you, we file claim forms electronically, provide postage for special claims, and we track the claims as an obligation to you.
Other Payment Options
Patients are asked to pay for services as they are provided. This minimizes bookkeeping costs and allows us to pass these savings on to our patients. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Card. We also offer flexible financing options for those who qualify. We understand that monthly payments can help patients fit the costs ofdental treatment into their budgets, and we want you to be able to afford the dental care you need.
FREE BLEACHING FOR LIFE!
To keep our schedule and office running smoothly for our family of patients, we’ve found it to be extremely important for patients to keep their scheduled appointments. As an incentive for you to keep all of your scheduled appointments, we offer a FREE BLEACHING FOR LIFE program!
Following your first hygiene visit, simply keep all of your scheduled appointments (minimally two additional hygiene visits) for one year, and you will receive a free take home whitening (bleaching) kit. As long as you continue to keep all of your appointments as scheduled (minimally one hygiene visit every six months), touch up whitening kits will be provided to you FREE following those hygiene visits. How about that? – Something for nothing! Just our way of saying thanks for being such a loyal patient.
